Zarriya (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates zarriya.online and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and what choices you have. By using Zarriya, you agree to this policy.
1. Who this policy applies to
Zarriya is a connection platform. We help customers discover independent service providers. We do not employ providers and we are not a party to any service contract between users.
- Visitors who browse the directory without an account
- Customers who create a consumer account
- Businesses who register as service providers
- Anyone who contacts us through the platform or support chat
2. Information we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, and profile picture from Google sign-in (as permitted by Google and your settings)
- Account type (customer or business)
Customer account data
- Profile details you provide
- Messages you send to providers
- Reviews you submit (rating, text, date)
Business listing data
- Business name, owner name, phone, and WhatsApp (if provided)
- Address and map location (latitude/longitude if set)
- Business description and years of experience
- Service categories, services offered, and indicative average prices
- Service areas (cities and areas you cover)
Messages and support
- In-app messages between customers and providers
- Messages sent to the Zarriya team through support chat
Usage and technical data
- Profile views and contact button clicks (phone/WhatsApp)
- Device and browser type
- A one-way hashed form of your IP address and browser type to reduce fake view counts (we do not store your raw IP address in analytics)
- Cookies or similar technologies for sign-in and basic site functionality
Location information
- Location you choose when using “near me” or map features
- Device location only when you grant permission
3. Information that is public
- When a business listing is approved and live, the public can see your business name, services, areas covered, contact options you display, reviews, and other listing details you submit
- Do not include sensitive personal information in public listing fields, chat messages, or reviews that you do not want others to see
4. How we use your information
We do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
- Create and manage accounts
- Display search results and provider profiles
- Enable messaging between users and support chat with our team
- Review and moderate listings
- Prevent abuse and improve platform safety
- Measure performance and improve Zarriya
- Use a hashed form of IP address and browser type to make profile view and contact counts as accurate as possible
- Send service-related notices (for example, listing approval status)
5. How we share information
With other users
- Customer messages are shared with the provider you contact
- Provider listing information is visible to visitors and customers
- Reviews you post are shown on provider profiles
With service providers
- Hosting, authentication, database, and analytics providers (such as Google for sign-in and cloud infrastructure)
- These providers process data on our behalf to operate the platform
For legal and safety reasons
- When required by law, court order, or government request
- To protect rights, safety, investigate fraud, or respond to abuse reports
Off-platform contact
- If you call, WhatsApp, or meet a provider outside Zarriya, that communication is between you and the provider
- We do not control and are not responsible for information shared off the platform
6. Data retention
- We keep account and listing information while your account or listing is active
- We may retain data for a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and dispute-resolution purposes
- Messages and support chats may be kept so we can investigate reports and enforce our terms
- We may delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law
7. Security
- We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information
- No online service can guarantee complete security
- You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure
- Use caution when sharing personal details with other users
8. Your choices and rights
- Update certain business listing information from your provider account when your listing is approved
- Reviews are permanent once posted and cannot be edited or removed by you
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information through support chat
- We may need to verify your identity and may retain some information where required by law
- Stop using Zarriya at any time; contact us if you need help with account removal
9. Children
- Zarriya is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children
- If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can take appropriate action
10. International processing
- Your information may be stored and processed using cloud services outside Pakistan
- By using Zarriya, you understand your information may be transferred to countries with different data protection laws
- We rely on appropriate safeguards used by our service providers
11. Changes to this policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time
- The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do
- Continued use of Zarriya after changes means you accept the updated policy
